The Large Dog Pad gives your dog a place of their own on the Hauler—and it works two ways.

Strap it directly onto the SmartDeck and it becomes an open bed with a view. Straps on the underside thread through the SmartDeck's tie-down points and cinch tight beneath the SmartDeck, so the pad stays put over curbs and gravel. One end has no bolster, so an older dog, or a short-legged one, can step in without being lifted.

Or drop it into a Large SmartBin and the bin walls do the rest—high enough that your dog feels enclosed, low enough to see over. Add a Small SmartBin alongside and you get somewhere for the leash, water and towels, plus the den-like corner a lot of dogs settle into faster.

Tough 600D nylon underneath takes the scuffing and the sand. A soft, plush sleep surface on top, with bolstered sides to lean into.

First Way to Ride: On the SmartDeck

Strap the pad straight to the SmartDeck and the ride is an open bed with a view. It is the lowest step up, the easiest boarding of any setup, and the one for a dog who would rather watch where you're going than be walled in.

Second Way to Ride: In the Large SmartBin

Drop the pad into a Large SmartBin and the walls do the rest — high enough that a dog settles into them, low enough to rest a chin on the rim and take in the trail. On sand, gravel or anywhere the ground stops being flat, the enclosure is what keeps them steady.

The Large Dog Pad comfortably fits most breeds up to roughly a Labrador or Golden Retriever. At 32.5" x 16.5", we recommend measuring your dog when lying down or their current bed to confirm fit.

Does the Dog Pad go on the SmartDeck, or inside a SmartBin?

Either. Strapped to the SmartDeck it is an open bed—the best view, the easiest to climb onto and the right setup for a dog who wants to watch where you're going. Dropped into a Large SmartBin it becomes an enclosure, with walls high enough to feel contained and low enough to see over. Same pad, and you can switch between the two in about a minute.

Can an older dog get on the Dog Pad by themselves?

That is what the open option is for. Three sides have a raised bolster to lean on; the fourth has none, so it is a step up rather than a climb over. Strapped tight to the SmartDeck, that end sits low enough for an older or short-legged dog to board on their own, which can be the difference between the dog coming along and staying home.

Does the Large Dog Pad fit Cruiser?

No. The Large Dog Pad is designed specifically for Hauler and is not compatible with Cruiser. Its underside straps directly to Hauler's SmartDeck slots, so it is custom built to the Hauler frame rather than Cruiser.
