The High Performance Wheel Kit swaps your standard Cruiser or Hauler all-terrain wheels for pneumatic ones—air-filled tires that soak up rock, root and washboard instead of passing it through to the load.

Most days you won't need them. You will when the ground gets rough enough that the standard all-terrain suspension runs out: towing behind a bike, riding a rutted trail, or carrying something that would rather not be jostled—a sleeping child in a Cruiser, a dog, a cooler of fragile items.

One kit fits any Cruiser or Hauler, in push or pull. Swap them on with a quick release and swap back when the trail ends. Children ride in a Cruiser—the Hauler carries gear, not kids.

Do I need these if my Cruiser or Hauler is already all-terrain?

Not usually. The standard soft-tread wheels handle pavement, grass and gravel well. This kit is for the ground beyond that—rock, root and washboard—and for loads that suffer from being shaken: a sleeping kid in a Cruiser, a dog, anything fragile. If your rough days are occasional, the standard wheels are fine. If they're most days, this is the upgrade.

Will these fit my Cruiser or Hauler?

Yes. One kit fits any Cruiser or Hauler model, and works in push or pull. If you own both, the same set moves between them.

Are these the right wheels for towing behind a bike?

They are the ones we would put on. Bike speeds turn the occasional bump into repeated hits, and pneumatic tires absorb what solid ones might pass along—to the load and to the frame. If the Bike Connector Kit is how you use the Hauler most often, this is the wheel set you need.

Do I need new fenders for these tires?

No. If you're fitting these to a Cruiser, your standard fenders work with the pneumatic tires, so there's nothing else to buy—this kit doesn't include fenders. The Beach Wheel Kit does, because its larger balloon tires need them. Hauler doesn't use fenders at all.
