I got this for camping but it is one of my go-to blankets! I take it with me when I got to my niece's soccer games, when I go to a family party and know I will be there for awhile, in my car for emergencies and when I need a warm light blanket. I love that it is packable and light. I also love that it is machine washable, has pockets and has snaps so it can wrap around my body like a cape. It is windproof and waterproof so it is perfect for outdoors!
Now that it's finally getting a little cold down here in Texas, I've had a chance to try out this blanket. It's great! Folds up nicely into a little pouch and can be stored pretty easily. I keep it in the back of the van. It has come in very handy while out and about. It is a very cozy blanket. It is really lightweight but provides some good warmth. We love it!
The material feels extremely soft and moderately slick, which is perfect for me. It feels like a somewhat thinner camping sleeping bag, keeping me plenty warm during the winter months here in Georgia. It is such a simple feature, but the clasps add a super comfy poncho option that keeps the blanket wrapped around me while freeing my hands. The ability to pack it up in to a pillow is a nice bonus too.
The only downside to this product or me, are:
#1, the EXORBITANT price
#2, wearing it makes me look like a dork manbaby
It's quote toasty and like the headline says everyone in our house likes it.
On our last camping trip of the season I noticed that the blankets we've been using needed replaced. I decided to look for one that would provide even greater warmth than our last one. After doing some research on what to look for and what to expect, I found this puffy outdoors blanket made by the VEER store. Based on the product details and visuals, this seemed like it might be a permanent solution. I ordered one to try it out before ordering more for other family members. Now that I have this home and temps have dropped down into the 30's- I will and can attest to the skillful design of this blanket. The designer did a nice job creating this to provide ample warmth when you find yourself in the "elements".
Here are some of the special features that I thought made this one stand out over other similar ones on the market.
*100% Down alternative (meaning this is not made with goose down)
*waterproof
*Type: quilt pattern
*Pockets for hand
*snap to pull the blanket together and provide even greater warmth benefits.
*Wind resistant
*Material: 20D Nylon used - fine grade
*Insulated to 45 degrees F
*Machine washable
*Tumble low
*Where to use: camping, football games and more
*Portable and simple to bring along
All in all, I find that the skilled designer/engineer did a marvelous job with this extremely warm blanket. I am one who is typically cold - even indoors - so I can attest that this has even warmed me up perfectly.
